Continuing on from You Can Care week, which was last week, we have one more person to celebrate: Kim Cummings.
Kim is the Lead Support Worker at our Day Opportunities Programme. Kim joined CCL 8 years ago as a Support Worker at the Day Opportunities Programme and Hall Bank Mews. Following this, she moved to CCL’s respite scheme and is now based at our Day Opportunities Programme Monday – Friday.
Prior to working at CCL, Kim worked in the retail industry for 25 years. She decided to move into care as her husband worked at CCL and thought she would like helping the learners.
On asking Kim what her favourite thing is about working at CCL is, she said “I love supporting the learners, everyday is different, the job has lots of variety to it and I have learned lots of new skills”.
She added “I have also made some really good friends with colleagues, past and present”.
