CCL’s Church View Scheme in Longnor, Shrewsbury has been awarded Outstanding following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Church View is one of our high quality schemes in Shropshire, it is home to 6 residents and has recently been awarded Outstanding by CQC.
We pride ourselves on creating a home-from-home environment for our residents with spacious houses in Shrewsbury and the surrounding villages. Church View is one of thirteen CCL homes in Shropshire and just like a family home, each bedroom reflects the residents own personal style and taste. Residents are supported and cared for whilst enjoying being part of the local community.
CQC Head of Inspection for Adult Social Care in the central region, Maggie Hannelly, made some fantastic comments regarding the inspection:
“Our inspection team was very impressed by the level of care and support offered at Church View, that was planned, co-ordinated and person-centred”.
“People were provided with extraordinary care by staff who explored ways to engage them and maximise their full potential”.
“The service had been developed and designed to ensure people could live as full and meaningful lives and achieve the best possible outcomes for them. And outcomes for people were consistently better than expected because staff worked tirelessly to make sure, people had opportunities to lead as full a life as possible”.
“Through people’s own communication strategies, their suggestions and ideas were sought, valued and included to plan their activities. People took responsibility for daily tasks because staff recognised this gave people a sense of ownership and satisfaction”.
“Staff worked extremely closely with people to learn and improve their communication. This was central to helping people achieve their full potential which resulted in improvements to people’s health and well-being”.
Congratulations to Church Views Registered Manager Anna Hubbleday and all the staff team for their continued and inspiring hard work.
