CCL learners who access The Opportunities Programme have been participating in weekly sensory exploration sessions, exploring different colours and textures.
Each week the learners are presented with different coloured objects, with this session being the colour white. There were a variety of items to explore including flour, mats, golf balls, flannels, paper and meringues. Learners used their preferred method of communication to say whether they liked or disliked the object. Everyone had items they preferred, although the meringue was a particular favourite!
These are important sessions to our learners, as by using this multisensory approach it provides the opportunity to participate and show enjoyment within the activities.
