In a remarkable celebration of dedication and excellence, Condover College has been honoured with two awards at the prestigious Regional Great British Care Awards. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment to provide exceptional care and support to those in their care. The awards ceremony, held at the ICC in Birmingham on November 2nd, brought together some of the best professionals in the industry. The evening was filled with joy, recognition, and a strong sense of camaraderie among those dedicated to social care. The atmosphere was electric as nominees eagerly awaited the announcement of the winners. CCL had eight finalists in the regional finals, including: – Ceri Cooper – Dignity in Care Award, Condover College – Care Employer Award, Anna Hubbleday – Care Home Activity Organiser, Lucy Hughes – Care Home Worker Award, Vikki Pryce – Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award, Castle Road – Housing with Care Award, Beth Tudor – Work Development Award and Kynaston Farm Team – Care Team Award. Winning any award is not only about recognition; it reflects the hard work, dedication, and compassion that go into every aspect of care.

Vikki Pryce, the Chief Executive of Condover College, and the Castle Road Condover’s supported living team both won their respective categories. In accepting her award, Vikki Pryce expressed surprise and felt honoured to be recognised in this way. Jo Mear Registered Manager of Castle Road had this to say “Winning the Housing with Care Award reflects our strong commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive home for our residents within the local community. Both staff, residents and their families are thrilled that we have received this recognition; it truly is an honour”.

CCL has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure the highest standards of care and staff training are met, and having eight finalists in the regionals speaks volumes about this commitment.

Winning the Regional GBCA Awards is not just a milestone; it serves as motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of excellence in care. Congratulations to Vikki and the Castle Road team for this well-deserved recognition, and best of luck in the National finals in March 2025.
