Saturday 4th November was a night of excitement and celebration for CCL in Birmingham. CCL had finalists at the Regional GBCA Awards for the following categories: The Recruitment Team – The Three R’s, Condover College (CCL) – The Care Employer of the Year, Kirsty Power – The Care Home Registered Manager Award, Hall Bank – The Support Worker Award, Ella Page – The Care Home Worker Award and Anto Joy – The Care Home Worker Award.
Everyone was dressed to impress and enjoyed a delicious three course meal with fantastic entertainment by a “Whitney” tribute and a band called “Jump”. The Winners were welcomed to the stage and we are so pleased to announce that Ella Page won The Support Worker Award and the Recruitment team received Highly Commended in their category.
This is what Ella had to say about becoming a Regional Winner; “Being nominated for an award like this is such a big thing in itself, but actually becoming a finalist and winning really is something else. I am so grateful to have won the Care Home Worker Award and would like to say thank you to Condover College who gave me the opportunity to become a Support Worker as well as all the people around me who helped me get to where I am today.”
Vikki Pryce had this to say “We are really proud of all the finalists but particularly of Ella for winning this award, it is certainly well deserved and wish her all the best of luck in the National Finals.”
Ella will now be entered into the GBCA National finals in March 2024 so from us all at CCL we wish her the very best of luck!
