Our learners had a visit from a very special guest this week whilst at their weekly TSTC Disability Trampolining session.
The Lord-Lieutenant of Shropshire, Anna Turner, presented the learners with their trampolining Certificates of Achievements and British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards 1 and 2. She spent the morning interacting and engaging with the learners during their weekly session.
TSTC Disability Trampolining is run by Tricia Sharpe at the Shrewsbury Sports Village every week and our learners love it! In 2021 Tricia received the British Empire Medal from her Majesty the Queen for services to British Gymnastics and recently attended the King’s Coronation.
Trampolining has many health benefits for people with learning disabilities including improving fitness, coordination, posture and balance and stimulating senses. Our learners really do look forward to their weekly trampolining session.
