On Saturday 30th October, CCL attended the Great British Care Awards for the West Midlands region. In total, CCL’s team were nominated for 7 awards, including:
Jo Mear, Director of Care & Support – ‘The Outstanding Contribution to Social Care’
Andrew Harris, Director of Operations – ‘The Social Care Covid Hero Award’
CCL’s Speech & Language Therapy Team (Laura Conway, Jade Wright & Nicky Robinson) – ‘The Putting People First/Personalisation Award’
Sam Price, Deputy Manager – ‘The Frontline Leaders Award’
Ben Roberts, Lead Support Worker – ‘The Care Home Worker Award’
Anna Hubbleday, Registered Manager – ‘The Care Home Registered Manager Award’
The Orchard (Donna Shrimpton, Louise Austin & team) – ‘The Care Home Team Award’
It was a fantastic evening and a great atmosphere. However, there could only be one winner from each category, and we are extremely excited to announce that the Orchard won the ‘Care Home Team’ award and are now finalists in the Great British Care Awards nationals March 2022. The Orchard’s team representatives – Donna Shrimpton (Registered Manager), Louise Austin (Deputy Manager) and Wendy Grocott (Lead Support Worker) were overjoyed to collect their award. All finalists should be very proud of themselves – they are all winners in our eyes and did exceptionally well to be finalists in such prestigious awards.
